On October 18, 2019, the events devoted to the 50th anniversary of the AN-26 transport airplane’s maiden flight and the 60th anniversary of the AN-24 passenger aircraft were held. Nowadays, over 650 airplanes of the AN-24/AN-26 family are remaining in operation.
Antonov Airlines has flown a mobile crane and fire extinguishing equipment from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Presidente Perón International Airport (NQN) in Argentina for Crane Worldwide. AN-124-100 flew the crane and associated equipment which included booms, tracks, control stations and water pumps, that weighed a combined total of 70 tonnes.
On October 8, 2019, during International exhibition “Arms and Security”, at booth of Ukroboronprom SC, Arsen Avakov, Мinister of Internal Affair of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Donets, President of ANTONOV Company, signed Memorandum about intension of bilateral cooperation.
On October 4, 2019, AN-12БК transport airplane (state and registration UR-CAH, serial number 8345604) of Ukraine-Aeroaliance airlines performed emergency landing near Lviv airport. This aircraft was constructed at Tashkent aviation plant on May 15, 1968. The last overhaul of the aircraft was conducted in January 1990. The aircraft was allowed to operate within the next stage of the assigned service life till May 2020.
