7402 ANTONOV Company started works on renewal and support of further fail-safe operation of AN-158 jets of «Cubana de Aviacion» airlines
ANTONOV Company started works on renewal and provision of the Full Fleet Support of six AN-158 regional passenger jets of «Cubana de Aviacion» airlines.
In accordance with conditions of the agreement with SOUTH AMERICAN AIRCRAFT LEASING S.A. (SAAL), Panama, at the first stage ANTONOV’s specialists review technical status of all the AN-158 airplanes of the Cuban airlines. After that, the second stage on renewal of these six airplanes’ airworthiness will be launched. Basing on the received results, the first-aid kit to provide further regular and fail-safe operation of AN-158s will be generated. It is planned to renew first two airplanes in the first quarter of 2020.
As for reference, deliveries of AN-158 to Cuba were started in April 2013. The sixth aircraft was passed to the customer in April 2015. Term of ANTONOV’s guarantee obligations expired in 2017. Nowadays, the partners join efforts to provide a new stage of the AN-158 operation.
