On November 26, 2019, surge of the second engine of the AN-124-100-150 (UR-82072) of Antonov Airlines occurred. The aircraft was running with speed of 200 km/h at Ostend airport, Belgium. The take off was aborted. The aircraft stopped within the runway borders and taxed to the parking place.
ANTONOV Company officially informs that any defect or destruction have not been found by the technical crew during inspection of the aircraft and engine.
To honour the obligations to the customer, Antonov Airlines provided other Ruslan for the cargo transportation.
ANTONOV Company asks representatives of mass media to stop sharing of false information and address to ANTONOV’s press service for the comments.
